Speaking in the Oval Office Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters that Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will be “out” in approximately “eight months.” The Republican leader went on to blame the U.S. housing crisis on “numbskull” Powell’s decision not to lower interest rates.
