Mitchell Bailey
Digital Broadcast Journalist
Mitchell Bailey is a Digital Broadcast Journalist based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He first joined the Global News team as an online web producer in May 2023 before switching over to the television department in December 2024.
Born and raised in Glace Bay, N.S., Mitchell moved to the Halifax area in September 2021 as he began a two-year radio television journalism program at NSCC’s Ivany Campus, graduating with Honours in journalism.
Throughout the program, he completed two internship periods in the Global Halifax office before joining the team full-time. His interests include domestic and international politics, business, culture, and soccer.
When he’s not providing Halifax with the latest news coverage, you can catch Mitchell out for a run, diving into a new book, researching his next travel destination, or learning Spanish.
